Outside The Box: Tom Brady

Being Born and raised in New England and being a fan of Football is a blessing in complete disguise. Especially for those not born into a lifestyle of being a Patriots Fan. None the less, Tom Brady is absolutely the God he is portrayed. Yes, I will Admit I am guilty of saying "Fuck Tom Brady", "He had weapons around him that made HIM better", " I'll never appreciate that dickwad of a teammate" ..... Yeah all those things, out of my mouth. 20 years of me saying negative things to realize the greatness we have been blessed with seeing.

Tom Brady is the greatest football player in history. This offseason he becomes an unrestricted free agent, and with the loss to the Titans and an early exit in the 2020 playoffs, there is a mighty concerning air swirling in New England. 42 years young (at least in his case) he holds a total of 54 Records in the National Football League's History. As the only player to play 20 seasons with the team in franchise history, I personally believe he needs to stay in New England and finish his career there. I don't think he will though..... and here is why. Like most Hall-of-fame QB's who were icons of the league during their respective times (ie: Manning, Favre, Montana, Young, Moon, Warner, Tankerton, Tittle, Cunningham) test the waters to prove they can do it wherever they go or are forced out for the next young wave. Brady though Holds his own power, and can choose to stay for less or test the waters. A part of me believes that Brady will join a new team, and no slouch of a team, a team he can win the superbowl or contend for one easily. The Reason? Bellichick will forever loom, and be attached to Brady's career. This opportunity will separate Bill and Toms Legacy forever. There are negatives or positives for either party. If Bill doesn't have success, and Tom does, Tom prospers as the single greatest Entity football has ever seen. If Tom fails and Bill Succeeds, Bill holds that advantage and the coach will be the reason for all the past success. sounds a little harsh, but one of each will have the edge in the conversation.

With this said here are 3 Teams I believe Brady could thrive on:

Los Angeles Chargers: With many offensive and defensive weapons, and the Phillip Rivers tenure coming to a close almost in the same retrospect. Tom Brady's Career could thrive both in Football and Business in the LA area. Modern medicine and the TB12 Clinic would open doors of expansion. Not to mention, a brand new Stadium, and the fact he is a California native. Everything points here.

Carolina Panthers: This would be an ugly update to think about, but it would make a-lot of sense. A high draft pick next year to find a WR like LSU's Jefferson to compliment DJ Moore, already having Christian McCaffery the young legendary Dual position All-Pro RB, and the potential of Josh McDaniels to follow in a open coaching Position seems like a great place to land in potentials. I just don't think this franchise has everything to win-now.

Tennessee Titans: A good team without a good quarterback. A city on the brink of change. Tom Brady could be the Music that Music City needs to become what it has longed to be. Nashville is becoming a great tourist destination, With a great Hockey Team, and in the running for MLB Expansion, Tom Brady could bring the stardom and recognition to put this city over the edge. With former teammate Mike Vrabel as HC and many other ex patriots in the locker-room, there would be a comfort factor for Tom in the eager to win City and Franchise.

It is completely unknown what will happen. Tom could even retire. The last throw of his career would be a pick 6 to ex teammate Logan Ryan. I just don't think it can end like that. His perfectionate attitude wont allow him to end that way.

To reiterate football in New England is a blessing in disguise because of Tom Brady, he has given so much to this franchise, this area, and his fans. The bandwagon fans turned into lifelong fans. We all watched a legend unfold. If he leaves it could break this Area, Turn some against him, but some will follow, and some will simply appreciate from a distance. The disguise is the continuance of the Patriot way and the arrogance of some fans who only know success. Kraft, Bellichick, and Brady are the Glue, so will fans embrace the end if one part of the equation is unknown? will they be humbled by true loss? or will they fall to the ways of old and abandon Foxborough as they did in the 90's? Without Brady Patriots fans need to open their eyes just like the rest of the NFL fans who live with 8-8 seasons and the potential for a playoff birth and don't scarf at 12-4 and a first round exit. I personally cant wait for the mass Humbling the next ERA of what New England Football Brings. Brady leaving will be the beginning of the Apocalypse if it happens. So personally .... I would rather not hear the sob story that Brady wins somewhere else, I want him to retire a Patriot... so Patriots fans can have a proper burial of their emotions and us Non-Patriots can live free of New England bitching and Tom Brady being under ESPN microscope with 24/7 coverage all next season. Please stay ... or please leave forever.
